Donations

IAM accepts donations of food, including garden produce, and new or "gently used" clothing, blankets, sheets, towels and shoes. Items may be brought to IAM at 310 Freeman Street. Scroll down to see the hours we can accept donations.

Sponsorships

Sponsor one of our IAM Events or becoming a sustaining donor to improve the health and well-being of our community. Your gift will help ensure that families don't go hungry, don't lose their homes, and can stay warm and keep the lights on. 

Planned Giving

A valued way of supporting IAM for the long-term future, without impacting a donor's immediate cash flow, is to name the organization as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy that is no longer needed or by including IAM in your will.

Contributing to specific programs

IAM honors your request when you make a monetary donation and ask that your donation be used for a specific program such as Food, Clothing, Heat/utilities, Rent, Medications, School supplies, Unusual Hardships or Medical-Related Unusual Hardships. When making a donation restricted to a specific program, be sure to include the information on the memo-line of your check. Unrestricted donations will be used where they are most needed at the time.

In-Kind Donations

IAM accepts in-kind donations of packaged food as well as fresh produce and frozen foods - we have a walk-in cooler and freezer. We also accept gently used clothing & shoes, personal care items, feminine hygiene products, cleaning supplies, masks, gloves, blankets, towels, sheets, pillows, pet food, and school supplies are all accepted and appreciated.

Items may be brought to IAM at 310 Freeman Street (off Four Seasons Blvd, behind Tequila's Mexican Restaurant):

Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. 
Fridays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you have a large quantity of food, blankets, winter coats, or children's clothing, we can pick up your donation. Call 828-697-7029/Option 5 for more information. We issue receipts for in-kind donations upon request.

As a sponsor you join Interfaith Assistance Ministry, Henderson County's largest provider of crisis services, in our mission to give our neighbors in need a hand-up when they are hit with a financial crisis.

Your sponsorship allows us to improve the health and well-being of our community by helping ensure that families don't go hungry, families don't lose their homes, families can stay warm and keep the lights on. Sponsors make it possible to keep children in clothing, shoes and coats and equipped with school supplies to help them succeed. IAM even helps with pillows, blankets, towels, linens, personal care items and pet food. During the Winter holidays, we provide individuals and households who seek assistance a complete holiday meal so they could eat together at home.
