IAM JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:  HOP Referral and Billing Associate                   Status: Full-time, non-exempt

Reports to:  HOP Director                                                Date: August 2024

 

Position Summary:  The Billing and Referral Associate is responsible for the Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) billing and invoice management and assists the HOP Referral Manager with referral management duties. Embraces IAM’s core values to serve those in need with compassion and respect. Reports to the HOP Director.

 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Responsible for completing all invoicing for HOP services in a timely manner. 

·        Assists HOP Referral Manager with contacting HOP Managed Medicaid clients and care managers to help monitor and renew existing referrals.

·        Coordinates with HOP Referral Manager to manage HOP delivery spreadsheet.

·        Covers for HOP Referral Manager as needed.

·        Investigates and resolves invoice queries.

·        Attends required HOP zoom meetings and completes all required training.

·        Participates in weekly staff meetings, IAM training, and other agency-related activities.

·        Calls new clients to check on how their first delivery went.

·        Calls clients for monthly check-ins to ensure they are satisfied with their food deliveries.

·        Any other duties as assigned by the HOP Director and/or the CFO.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Education:  Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience:  Minimum of 1-3 years administrative work experience.

 

Skills:

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Professional and pleasant demeanor on the telephone

·        Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and ability to learn new software

·        Strong organizational and time management skills

Work Relationship and Scope:

Reports to the HOP Director. This position regularly interacts with staff, volunteers, neighbors (clients) and community partners. Reports to the CFO in the absence of the HOP Director. Must support IAM’s mission, vision and values to serve area residents in need with respect and dignity.

Working Conditions: 

·        Job Conditions/Work Location: Work is performed almost exclusively in an office environment.

·        Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods of time, and regularly access files (some walking, bending, stooping, and lifting of light materials.) Frequent mental and visual concentration is required for computer.

·        Additional Requirements:  Must pass a criminal background check.
