                                                              IAM JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:  HOP Referral Associate                                                      Status:  Full Time, Nonexempt

Reports To:  HOP Billing & Referral Manager                                        Date:  November 2024

Position Summary:

The HOP Referral Manager is responsible for intake of the Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP) referrals and assists the HOP Billing and Referral Associate with management of the referrals. Must embrace IAM’s core values to serve those in need with compassion and respect. Reports to the HOP Billing & Referral Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Manages and completes the intake of HOP referrals for food orders, public transportation, utility, housing and NCCARES 360

·      Manages and conducts appointments for public transportation, utility and housing assistance referrals and the invoicing of those referrals.

·      Coordinates with Billing and Referral Associate to manage HOP delivery spreadsheets and the request for renewal of existing referrals when necessary.

·      Works with the Billing and Referral Associate to complete monthly calls to clients.

·      Assists Billing and Referral Associate in invoicing for HOP food domain services.

·      Attends required HOP in person and zoom meetings and completes all required HOP training.

·      Participates in weekly staff meetings, IAM training, and other agency-related activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Education:   Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years administrative work experience, experience within a non-profit or human services organization preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

·      Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

·      Readily accepts new tasks assigned by the HOP Billing & Referral Manger and CFO

·      Team player that can shift gears quickly and efficiently and adapts to change easily

·      Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus

·      Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn new software

·      Professional and pleasant demeanor on the telephone or in person while conducting appointments

·      Ability to work with diverse populations. Requires patience when dealing with challenging clients in person or over the phone, ensuring quality customer service at all times

Work Relationship and Scope:

Reports to the HOP Billing & Referral Manager.  This position interacts regularly with staff, volunteers, neighbors (clients) and community partners.  Reports to CFO in the absence of the HOP Billing & Referral Manager.  Must support IAM’s mission, vision, and values to serve area residents in need with respect and dignity.

·      Promotes quality and thoroughness of work performed in a timely manner.

Working Conditions:

·       Job Conditions/Work Location: Work is performed almost exclusively in an office environment.

·      Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods of time, regularly accesses files (some walking, bending, stooping, and lifting of light materials). Frequent mental and visual concentration required for computer.

 
 

IAM JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: HOP Stocker/Order Associate                                     STATUS:  Full-time, non-exempt

REPORTS TO: HOP Operations Manager                                       DATE:  November 2024

 

Position Summary:

The HOP (Healthy Opportunities Pilot) Stocker/Order Associate completes daily tasks assigned by the HOP Operations Manager. This full-time position fulfills HOP orders by making and stocking healthy food boxes, helps unload and load IAM food orders and keeps the HOP Operations Center clean and tidy. May occasionally fill in as a box truck or van driver as needed. The ideal candidate embraces IAM’s core values to serve those in need with compassion and respect and work positively and professionally with IAM’s entire team.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Stocks shelves with HOP food, checking dates.

·        Constructs HOP Boxes.

·        Packs HOP Boxes for food delivery, including required inserts.

·        Monitors the HOP inventory, working closely with the HOP Operations Manager.

·        Keeps the HOP Operations (HOP Ops) area clean and tidy and takes out trash daily.

·        Monitors the HOP refrigerator and freezer to ensure temperatures meet food safety requirements.

·        Helps supervise IAM volunteers assisting with HOP operations.

·        Completes any required paperwork daily.

·        Checks IAM’s grounds and parking lot once in the morning and before leaving to pick up and dispose of any trash or debris.

·        Accepts direction and training with a positive attitude.

·        Supports team members and volunteers who need assistance.

·        Participates in weekly staff meetings, IAM retreats and other required training and agency-related activities.

·        Assists with occasional weekends and special events.

·        Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

 Experience:  Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience; experience preferred working with economically vulnerable populations and volunteers is preferred. Experience safely driving a box truck is a plus. Bilingual is a plus.

 Education: High School degree education preferred or the equivalent of work experience and education. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, a plus.

 Skills:

11.   Experience driving commercial vans and 26-foot box truck safely (commercial license not needed), a plus.

12.   Experience working with volunteers a plus.

 Work Relationship and Scope:

Reports to the HOP Operations Manager. This position interacts regularly with IAM staff, volunteers, neighbors (clients) and donors. 

 Job Conditions/Work Location: Work performed in and around IAM’s Crisis Services Facility unloading, moving, packing, sorting and pallet moving. Some stationary work in an office environment using a computer.

 Physical Requirements: Requires walking, standing, sitting and lifting boxes up to 50 - 60 lbs, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends, as needed. 

 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, days

 Benefits: Health insurance, generous paid days off, sick days and IAM contributions to a retirement plan for each employee after 90 days.
